A Little About Me

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

As most of you probably know by now I am a boutique owner. I own a children's clothing boutique called Butterfly Hearts Boutique. It is styled in vintage, chic, trendy fashion. I love pink, and color, and lace, ruffles, oh and frills lots and lots of frills.

I love to style children in unique, custom, one of a kind outfits.

I think kids should be modest but have style. And why not?

They are, after all, the cutest of the cute!!

I created my boutique 2 years ago.

I always bought clothes for my kids from department stores and shopping centers that always seemed to last oh a couple of months or so, and I thought this is ridiculous! The amount of money that I put into these clothes just for them to fall apart without the kids being able to really wear them! Wow what a waste! So I began sewing. I have always had the talent. Generations after generations of women in my family sewed most or all of their family's clothes. I began with a needle and thread and my two hands. That's right folks I was sewing outfits with my hands, NO MACHINE!! Well when my husband saw how into this "hobby" I was getting he surprised me with a sewing machine! Yay! So excited! Well then I really took off!

I was sewing, sewing, sewing!

I opened my business on September 27, 2012.

I got right to work advertising on Etsy, Facebook, Storenvy, oh I went advertising crazy! I got my models for my products lined up. I made hair bows, and headbands, and dresses, ties, hats, pants, tutus, I was having a blast! And making pretty good money also.

At Halloween I began making costumes. I ended up with over 40 orders to do within a week. And these were very intricate, detailed pieces! Well needless to say after many sleepless nights and countless hours of sewing nonstop, missing time with my family ,crying many tears, and stressing over delivery times, I burned out! It was the worst feeling in the world! I felt like I let myself down. I felt like I let my customers down. I was so sad. I decided to close shop and regroup. The last thing I wanted was to begin to hate what I loved to do so much!! I did not want to go back to a 9-5 minimum wage job just to basically pay for someone else to take care of my babies and still not make enough to pay bills. I wanted to stay home and work.
So I went on break from November 2013 - January 2014.

I am back!!

On January 23, 2014, my birthday, I reopened my doors to business! New name, new attitude, and new ideas for my line!

My name is Butterfly Hearts Boutique.

It took me forever to think of a new name! I think that was by far the hardest part of coming back! Well I put all the things I love together and here's how I got my name.

I love, love, love butterflies, first name, they are so pretty, and dainty, and just show innocence like a child.

I believe in loving everyone, no matter their beliefs, color, race, religion, what they wear, how they talk, everyone is the same in my eyes. Love is the most powerful emotion in the world more people need to know the true feeling of love. Where does love come from? Your heart! That's right, second name!

And of course boutique because, well, I am a boutique after all.

So my name actually means something to me, not "just a name."

I have so many ideas, and plans for my company.

It is going to be a long, fun, educational, amazing journey and I am so thrilled you have decided to come along with me!
